Garsamasar is considered one of the most beautiful attractions in Ramsar. The area boasts remarkably cool weather, even during the summer. With its beautiful plains, towering mountains, and cool springs, the Garsamasar highland region offers a unique experience within Ramsar.
Dezkool Castle is another of Garsamasar’s attractions; from its summit, you can enjoy panoramic views of both Ramsar and Tonekabon. Other notable sites in the area include Rostam-Sar, Taleh-Bon, Rah-Kenar, Abji Mosque, and Foolad Cheshmeh.
The village of Garsamasar derives its name from a fortress known as “Garzaman-Sar,” meaning “a place atop paradise.” This name was inspired by the fortress’s natural setting and evolved into “Garsamasar” over time. To reach the village, turn onto Haris Road from the Tonekabon-Ramsar highway and continue toward the high mountains for one to two hours.

The suspension bridge is one of Ramsar’s attractions, drawing tourists into a heavenly setting amidst forests, mountains, and clouds. While bridges are typically built to connect two points of land across a river, the story of this suspension bridge is different; it serves a unique purpose. Its swaying, suspended nature and its geographical location have transformed it into a popular tourist attraction.

This attraction is known simply as the Ramsar Suspension Footbridge and is not designed for vehicular traffic. The wooden suspension bridge is part of the scenic “Bam-e Ramsar” (Ramsar Heights) recreational complex, which also features attractions such as an amusement park, a cable car, and a zip line. As you walk across the bridge, your focus shifts away from the destination; instead, you become fully attentive to every step, ensuring each one is secure.
